How Hope Fits into the Collect 151 Series

Collect 151 is a Simplified Chinese Pokémon TCG series built around collecting Pokémon from the original Kanto Pokédex. Hope followed the first release, Collect 151 Journey, and expanded the available card selection with different Pokémon, patterned cards, and another Pikachu AR illustration.

The four main Collect 151 booster releases issued during 2025 were:

  • Collect 151 Journey: January 17, 2025
  • Collect 151 Hope: April 18, 2025
  • Collect 151 Surprise: July 18, 2025
  • Collect 151 Gathering: October 17, 2025

The four releases belong to the same broader collecting series, but each has its own product packaging and card selection. Collect 151 Hope should not be confused with Japanese Pokémon 151, English Scarlet & Violet—151, or other regional Pokémon 151 products.

Five-Card and 20-Card Booster Formats

Collect 151 Hope was released in two distinct booster-pack formats.

The standard pack contains 5 randomized cards, including 1 foil card. The larger 20-card pack contains 20 randomized cards, including 7 foil cards.

“Jumbo” describes the larger number of cards in the 20-card pack. The cards themselves are standard-size Pokémon cards.

The corresponding booster-box configurations are:

Format Packs per box Cards per pack Randomized cards per box
Standard booster box 15 5 75
Jumbo booster box 6 20 120

The totals describe the number of physical cards contained across the packs, not the number of different cards. Duplicates may occur, and neither box guarantees a complete set, a Pikachu AR, a Master Ball-pattern card, or any other specific pull.

Poké Ball and Master Ball-Pattern Cards

Pokémon Collect 151 Hope includes foil cards featuring Poké Ball and Master Ball patterns. Within the selection of cards available with these treatments, Water-type, Dragon-type, and Colorless Pokémon have higher appearance rates than Pokémon of other types.

Examples shown in the original article include Psyduck, Dragonite, and Snorlax with different card finishes. The patterned finish is a visual treatment and should not automatically be described as a separate rarity.

An individual pack is not guaranteed to contain a Poké Ball-pattern card, Master Ball-pattern card, or one of the emphasized Pokémon types unless the official pack configuration specifically states otherwise.

Pikachu AR Artwork

One of the featured cards in Collect 151 Hope is a new Pikachu card carrying the official AR rarity mark.

The scenic illustration shows Pikachu beside a sleeping Psyduck, with Dragonite flying overhead and Jigglypuff visible in the background. The artwork connects the card with the Pokémon featured on the Collect 151 Hope booster packaging.

The Pikachu AR is part of the randomized card selection. It is not a promotional card and is not guaranteed in a standard pack, 20-card pack, or booster box.

Collect 151 Hope Coin Sets

Pokémon China also released two related product lines alongside the booster packs: the standard Collect 151 Hope Coin Set and the Collect 151 Hope Coin Set ex.

The standard Coin Set assortment contains 139 possible Pokémon designs corresponding to Pokémon represented without Pokémon ex cards. Each set pairs a matching Pokémon card and themed coin with three five-card Collect 151 Hope booster packs. The matching foil card normally has a Poké Ball pattern and may instead be replaced by a Master Ball-pattern version.

The Coin Set ex assortment contains 12 possible Pokémon ex designs. Each set includes a matching Pokémon ex foil card, matching coin, three five-card packs, and one 20-card pack. The Pokémon ex card may be replaced by a special illustration foil version.

Coins are produced in three standard finishes and one hidden finish. The selected Pokémon, card treatment, and coin finish remain randomized.

Standard Versus Jumbo Booster Boxes

The standard booster box is divided into 15 smaller five-card packs and contains 75 randomized cards overall. It may appeal to collectors who prefer opening more individual packs.

The jumbo booster box contains 6 larger 20-card packs and 120 randomized cards overall. Each pack includes more cards and more foil cards than the standard format, but the cards remain standard size.

Neither format should be described as having better pull rates without official evidence. Choosing between them is primarily a matter of pack size, number of pack openings, and total card quantity.
