Gengar shows up on three Simplified Chinese booster boxes this fall, which makes them easy Halloween picks. Two are the Collect 151 Surprise set, in a standard box and a new jumbo box. The third is Gemstone Vol.3, an all foil set with a nighttime theme.
Collect 151 Surprise Standard Booster Box
This is the Simplified Chinese version of the 151 set, built around the original Kanto Pokédex. The box art has Gengar grinning over Pikachu in a purple forest.
The Chinese printing has its own reverse holo foils, new Master Ball pattern designs and Pikachu art cards you won't find in other languages. The big pulls are full art illustration cards like Mew ex, Charizard ex and Golem ex.
- 15 packs
- 5 cards per pack
- Set code 151C
- Released July 18, 2025

Collect 151 Surprise Jumbo Booster Box
Same 151 Surprise set, packed differently. You get six thick packs of 20 cards each, so one box opens to 120 cards instead of 75.
The card pool is the same as the standard box: the reverse holos, the Master Ball designs and the Pikachu art cards. It's the one to pick if you like opening big packs, or if you're splitting a box with friends.
- 6 jumbo packs
- 20 cards per pack
- 120 cards per box
- Set code 151C
Gemstone Vol.3 Booster Box
Gemstone, also called Gem Pack, is the all foil Simplified Chinese series. Vol.3 has a nighttime theme and Gengar on the box and the packs.
Every card in every pack is foil, with different patterns and treatments across the set. The illustration cards are the highlight, and a lot of them lean spooky: Gengar, Chandelure, Mimikyu, Mismagius and Greavard are all in it.
- 18 packs
- 4 cards per pack, all foil
- Set code CBB3C
- Released September 26, 2025
