Gem Pack Vol. 7, known to most collectors as Gemstone Vol.7, is the seventh Simplified Chinese Gem Pack and the first one fronted by Psyduck. Set code CBB7C, four foil cards in every pack, and a newly drawn Misty's Psyduck illustration card at the top of the list. Here is how the set is built, which cards have been revealed, and what you get in a sealed box.

How the set is built
Gem Packs work differently from a standard expansion. Each Pokémon gets a run of seven numbered cards: six versions of the same artwork in different foil finishes, then a seventh card with full illustration art. With 28 Pokémon in Vol. 7, that comes to 196 cards.
The foil finishes are the reason people chase these packs. The product listing names four treatments:
- Attribute pattern foil, a pattern built around the Pokémon's Energy type
- Master Ball pattern foil
- Gem Pack logo gold stamped foil
- Illustration art foil, the full art card that closes each run
Misty's Psyduck, six ways
Psyduck is the cover Pokémon, and its run shows the format clearly. The six regular versions share one illustration by Yuu Nishida, with the foil pattern changing from card to card. The sixth carries the Gem Pack logo stamp.
The Misty's Psyduck illustration card
The seventh card is the one most collectors are opening Vol. 7 for. Illustrated by Cona Nitanda, it puts Psyduck mid-dive for a beach ball while Misty lounges on the deck behind it. It is new art, drawn for this set, and early coverage expects it to stay exclusive to the Simplified Chinese release.
Like every illustration card in Gem Packs, it is the last card in its Pokémon's run of seven, so a full Psyduck run means landing all six foil versions plus this one.
Trainers and their Pokémon
Vol. 7 is built around Pokémon shown with the Trainers they belong to. These illustration cards have been revealed so far, each closing its own run of seven:
What is inside a booster box
A sealed Gemstone Vol.7 booster box holds 18 packs with four cards each, so 72 cards, and every one of them is foil. There are no plain commons to sort through.
Pack contents are random. Specific Pokémon, foil patterns and rarities are not guaranteed, duplicates can happen, and with 196 cards in the set a single box will not complete it. Anyone building full runs or a master set should plan on more than one box. Twenty boxes make a sealed case.
Where Vol. 7 fits in the Gem Pack line
Gem Packs have run as a Simplified Chinese series since Gem Pack Vol. 1, and the format of four foil cards per pack has stayed the same through Vol. 2 and beyond. If you want a smaller way into the earlier volumes, the Gemstone Bag Badge Set Vol.2 comes with one pack each of Vol. 4, Vol. 5 and Vol. 6 plus a collectible badge.
