What Are Stellar Tera Pokémon ex?

Stellar Miracle marked the Japanese Pokémon TCG debut of Stellar Tera Pokémon ex. These cards remain Tera Pokémon ex, but their signature Stellar attacks commonly require three different types of Energy in exchange for powerful damage or effects.

Stellar is a Tera category represented on specific Pokémon ex cards rather than a standard Pokémon type such as Fire, Water, or Lightning. Not every Pokémon ex in SV7 is a Stellar Tera Pokémon, and not every attack on a Stellar card uses the same Energy combination.

The featured Stellar Tera Pokémon ex lineup includes:

  • Terapagos ex

  • Cinderace ex

  • Lapras ex

  • Galvantula ex

All booster contents remain randomized. A particular Stellar Pokémon ex or higher-rarity version is not guaranteed in a pack or box.

Terapagos ex and Its Supporting Cards

Terapagos ex is the headline Pokémon of Stellar Miracle. Its Union Beat attack increases in damage according to the number of Pokémon on the player’s Bench.

Area Zero Underdepths supports this strategy by allowing a player with a Tera Pokémon in play to expand the Bench to as many as eight Pokémon. Noctowl can search for Trainer cards when evolved under the correct conditions, while Fan Rotom and Bouffalant help establish and protect a Colorless-focused board.

Glass Trumpet can also attach Basic Energy from the discard pile to Benched Colorless Pokémon when a Tera Pokémon is in play. These cards provide useful support without guaranteeing that a Terapagos ex deck can be assembled from one booster box.

Other Featured Pokémon ex

Cinderace ex, Lapras ex, and Galvantula ex each demonstrate a different use of multi-type Energy for their Stellar attacks.

Stellar Miracle also includes standard Pokémon ex that are separate from the Stellar Tera category. Examples include Hydrapple ex, Dachsbun ex, Medicham ex, and Orthworm ex.

A Pokémon ex designation describes the card’s gameplay rule. It does not automatically indicate a card’s printed rarity, illustration treatment, or position above the base checklist.

Trainer and ACE SPEC Cards

Several Trainer cards support the expansion’s multi-Energy and Tera themes.

Crispin helps search for two different types of Basic Energy, placing one into the hand and attaching the other to a Pokémon. Briar can affect Prize-card collection late in a game involving Tera Pokémon, while Lacey provides a hand-refreshing Supporter option.

Other featured cards include:

  • Glass Trumpet

  • Area Zero Underdepths

  • Sparkling Crystal

  • Grand Tree

Sparkling Crystal and Grand Tree are ACE SPEC cards. ACE SPEC is a deck-building designation that limits a deck to one ACE SPEC card in total. It is not a booster-box guarantee or a general rarity for every premium Trainer card.

AR, SR, SAR, and UR Cards

The complete Stellar Miracle checklist contains several official rarity categories above the numbered base set.

AR cards use extended illustrated artwork. Featured examples include Noctowl, Joltik, Milcery, and Gulpin.

SR cards include higher-rarity Pokémon ex and full-art Trainer cards.

SAR cards use the Special Art Rare designation. Examples include Terapagos ex, Hydrapple ex, Dachsbun ex, and Briar.

UR cards use gold-accented treatments. The final numbered cards include Terapagos ex, Bravery Charm, and Area Zero Underdepths.

These categories should not be grouped together under the single term “secret rare.” A card’s printed rarity, illustration style, and position above card 102 are related but separate characteristics.

Base Checklist vs. Cards Numbered Above 102

Stellar Miracle’s base checklist runs from 001/102 through 102/102. An additional 33 numbered cards follow the base set:

  • 12 AR cards

  • 13 SR cards

  • 5 SAR cards

  • 3 UR cards

The final numbered card is 135/102, creating a 135-card numbered collector checklist.

Promotional cards, Deck Build Box cards, and later regional versions should not be added to this total as though they were part of the standard SV7 booster checklist.

Japanese Booster-Pack and Box Configuration

Each Japanese Stellar Miracle booster pack contains five randomized cards. A standard booster box contains 30 packs, producing 150 physical cards.

That total does not mean 150 different cards. Duplicates may occur, and one booster box does not guarantee:

  • A complete set

  • Terapagos ex

  • An AR, SAR, or UR card

  • An ACE SPEC card

  • A particular Stellar Tera Pokémon ex

  • A specific number of higher-rarity cards

The separately released Deck Build Box Stellar Miracle is a different product. Its fixed deck-building cards, Energy cards, storage box, dividers, VSTAR marker, and 10 booster packs are not included in the standard 30-pack booster box.

Stellar Miracle vs. Stellar Crown

Stellar Miracle is the Japanese SV7 expansion, while Scarlet & Violet—Stellar Crown is a later English-language release.

Both products feature Terapagos and Stellar Tera Pokémon ex, and several cards originally introduced in Stellar Miracle later appeared in Stellar Crown. However, the sealed products are not identical.

Their card numbering, checklists, languages, packaging, pack configurations, release dates, and regional products differ. Stellar Miracle should therefore not be described simply as an English Stellar Crown booster box printed in Japanese.
