Ogerpon and Its Four Mask Forms
The set includes four Tera Pokémon ex cards representing Ogerpon with different masks and types:
- Teal Mask Ogerpon ex: Grass
- Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex: Fire
- Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex: Water
- Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex: Fighting
Each form uses a different strategy. Teal Mask Ogerpon ex can accelerate Grass Energy and draw cards, Hearthflame Mask Ogerpon ex becomes stronger after taking damage, Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex can pressure the Active Pokémon and Bench, and Cornerstone Mask Ogerpon ex can protect itself from attacks used by Pokémon with Abilities.
Ogre’s Mask supports the four forms by exchanging an Ogerpon ex in play with one in the discard pile. It gives an Ogerpon deck a way to change masks and types, but it is not an ACE SPEC card or guaranteed booster inclusion.
Dragapult ex, Palafin ex, and Blissey ex
Mask of Change features several Pokémon ex beyond Ogerpon. Dragapult ex appears as a Tera Pokémon ex and can spread damage across the opponent’s board. Palafin ex uses a transformation-style requirement connected to moving Palafin out of the Active Spot, while Blissey ex supports Energy movement and hand replenishment.
A Pokémon ex or Tera Pokémon ex designation describes gameplay rules, not printed rarity. None of these cards is guaranteed in a pack or box.
Festival Lead and Kitakami Cards
The Festival Lead theme draws on Kitakami’s festival setting. Pokémon with Festival Lead can attack twice while Festival Grounds is in play when the Ability’s conditions are met.
Dipplin is the central evolved attacker, while Goldeen and Swirlix also use Festival Lead. Thwackey supports the strategy by searching the deck when an Active Pokémon has the Ability.
The set also includes illustration-focused cards featuring Munkidori, Fezandipiti, Okidogi, Tatsugiri, Chansey, and Dipplin.
Carmine, Kieran, and ACE SPEC Cards
Carmine and Kieran are prominent Supporter cards connected to Kitakami. Other Trainer cards include Hassel, Bug Catching Set, Accompanying Flute, Enhanced Hammer, Buddy-Buddy Poffin, Festival Grounds, and Ogre’s Mask.
The SV6 checklist includes three ACE SPEC cards:
- Secret Box
- Scoop Up Cyclone
- Legacy Energy
Secret Box and Scoop Up Cyclone are Item cards, while Legacy Energy is Special Energy. ACE SPEC cards follow the one-ACE-SPEC-card-per-deck rule and are not guaranteed in every booster box.
AR, SR, SAR, and UR Cards
The 32 cards numbered above the base checklist are divided into:
- 12 AR cards
- 11 SR cards
- 6 SAR cards
- 3 UR cards
The SAR lineup includes all four Ogerpon ex mask forms, Carmine, and Kieran. The three UR cards are Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, Enhanced Hammer, and Buddy-Buddy Poffin.
Cards numbered above 101 are not all Secret Rares, and illustrated cards should be identified by their printed Japanese rarity.
Base Checklist vs. Cards Numbered Above 101
The base checklist runs from 001/101 through Legacy Energy at 101/101. Another 32 cards continue from 102/101 through Buddy-Buddy Poffin at 133/101.
This produces a 133-card numbered collector checklist. Promotional cards and cards from the separate Ogerpon Special Jumbo Card Set are not part of the standard SV6 booster checklist.
Japanese Booster-Pack and Box Configuration
Each Japanese Mask of Change booster pack contains five randomized cards. A booster box contains 30 packs, producing 150 physical cards.
That total does not mean 150 different cards. Duplicates may occur, and one box does not guarantee a complete set, all four Ogerpon ex forms, Dragapult ex, an ACE SPEC card, or a particular AR, SR, SAR, or UR card.
Mask of Change vs. Twilight Masquerade
Mask of Change is the Japanese SV6 expansion. Scarlet & Violet—Twilight Masquerade is a later English-language expansion that also features Ogerpon, Kitakami, and related Trainer cards.
The sealed products are not identical. Twilight Masquerade draws from more than one Japanese-era card pool, including material associated with Crimson Haze. The products differ in language, release date, numbering, checklist, packaging, and booster configuration.
Special Jumbo Card Set Ogerpon
The Special Jumbo Card Set Ogerpon is a separate product released alongside the expansion. It includes eight Mask of Change booster packs, Teal Mask Ogerpon and Ogre’s Mask promotional cards, a jumbo Ogerpon card, and an Ogerpon coin.
Those contents are not included in the standard 30-pack booster box.
