Pokémon Night Wanderer SV6a is a Japanese Scarlet & Violet Enhanced Expansion Pack released on June 7, 2024. The set introduced Pecharunt ex to the Pokémon TCG and connects the Mythical Pokémon with Okidogi ex, Munkidori ex, and Fezandipiti ex—the group known as the Loyal Three.

Night Wanderer uses a 64-card numbered base checklist, followed by additional AR, SR, SAR, and UR cards numbered above 064. This guide covers its featured Pokémon, Trainer and ACE SPEC cards, Japanese booster format, completed numbered checklist, and relationship with the later English-language Shrouded Fable expansion.

  • Japanese release date: June 7, 2024

  • Packs per booster box: 30
  • Cards per booster box: 150 randomized cards
  • Numbered base checklist: 64 cards
  • Complete numbered checklist: 94 cards
  • Headline Pokémon: Pecharunt ex
  • Featured group: The Loyal Three

Pecharunt ex and the Loyal Three

Night Wanderer marked Pecharunt’s first appearance in the Pokémon TCG. Its card effects connect it directly with Darkness-type Pokémon, including the Loyal Three.

Pecharunt ex can move a Benched Darkness-type Pokémon into the Active Spot, although the Pokémon moved this way becomes Poisoned. That drawback can support cards designed around poison-based effects, including Okidogi ex and Binding Mochi.

Pecharunt ex appears alongside:

  • Okidogi ex
  • Munkidori ex
  • Fezandipiti ex

The four Pokémon form the set’s central gameplay and illustration theme. Booster contents remain randomized, so a Pecharunt ex card, one of the Loyal Three, or a complete four-card group is not guaranteed in one box.

Okidogi ex, Munkidori ex, and Fezandipiti ex

Each member of the Loyal Three uses a different card effect.

Okidogi ex can become a powerful attacker when Poisoned. Munkidori ex includes an effect connected to Pecharunt ex being in play, while Fezandipiti ex provides a flexible draw Ability and an attack capable of targeting an opposing Pokémon on the Bench.

These cards can work with Pecharunt ex, but they are separate Pokémon ex with their own card numbers and treatments. A Pokémon ex classification also should not be confused with the card’s printed rarity or an SAR illustration.

Kingdra ex and Other Featured Pokémon

Kingdra ex is another featured Pokémon ex in Night Wanderer. One of its attacks can place Water-type Pokémon from the discard pile directly onto the Bench, creating a different strategy from the set’s Pecharunt and poison theme.

The expansion also includes cards such as Kyurem and Crobat. Kyurem can damage multiple opposing Pokémon, while Crobat supports decks using Janine’s Secret Art.

AR cards featuring Horsea, Houndoom, Bewear, Duskull, Cresselia, and other Pokémon expand the set’s illustration-focused checklist. These displayed cards are examples from SV6a rather than guaranteed booster-box pulls.

Trainer and ACE SPEC Cards

Night Wanderer includes several Trainer cards supporting recovery, poison strategies, and deck setup:

  • Binding Mochi
  • Night Stretcher
  • Colress’s Tenacity
  • Janine’s Secret Art
  • Cassiopeia
  • Powerglass

Night Stretcher can recover a Pokémon or Basic Energy card from the discard pile. Colress’s Tenacity searches for a Stadium and an Energy card, while Janine’s Secret Art supports Darkness Pokémon and poison-based strategies.

The set’s highlighted ACE SPEC cards are Neutralization Zone and Dangerous Laser. Neutralization Zone is a Stadium, while Dangerous Laser can leave the opponent’s Active Pokémon Burned and Confused.

ACE SPEC is a deck-building designation with a one-ACE-SPEC-card-per-deck restriction. It does not mean that an ACE SPEC card is guaranteed in every booster box.

AR, SR, SAR, and UR Cards

Night Wanderer contains multiple rarity categories beyond the 64-card base checklist.

AR cards use illustration-focused artwork and occupy the first group of cards numbered above 064.

SR cards include higher-rarity Pokémon ex and Trainer cards with expanded artwork.

SAR cards include illustration-focused versions of Okidogi ex, Munkidori ex, Fezandipiti ex, Pecharunt ex, and Cassiopeia.

UR cards use gold-accented treatments. The final numbered cards include Pecharunt ex, Earthen Vessel, and Powerglass.

These rarity labels should remain distinct. Cards numbered above 064 are not all Secret Rares, and an illustrated card should not automatically be called an alternate art without also identifying its official Japanese rarity.

Base Checklist vs. Cards Numbered Above 064

The Night Wanderer base checklist runs from 001/064 through 064/064. Thirty additional cards continue above the base denominator, ending with Powerglass at 094/064.

The completed numbered checklist therefore contains 94 cards:

  • 64 base-checklist cards
  • 30 additional AR, SR, SAR, and UR cards

Promotional cards, English Shrouded Fable cards, Korean printings, and regional product promos should not be added to the Japanese SV6a booster checklist.

Japanese Booster-Pack and Box Configuration

Each Japanese Night Wanderer booster pack contains five randomized cards. A sealed booster box contains 30 packs, producing 150 physical cards.

The box does not contain 150 different cards. Duplicates may occur, and one booster box does not guarantee:

  • A complete checklist
  • Pecharunt ex
  • All three Loyal Three Pokémon ex
  • A particular AR, SR, SAR, or UR card
  • An ACE SPEC card
  • A specific number of higher-rarity cards

Night Wanderer vs. Shrouded Fable

Night Wanderer is the Japanese SV6a Enhanced Expansion Pack. Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable is a later English-language special expansion featuring many of the same Pokémon and themes.

The products are related but not identical. Their languages, numbering, checklists, packaging, release dates, and sealed-product formats differ.

English products such as the Kingdra ex and Greninja ex Special Illustration Collections are separate regional releases. Their promotional cards and accessories are not guaranteed contents of a Japanese Night Wanderer booster box.
